Verticutter – aerates the lawn

A verticutter consists of a roller with blades that cut up notches in the lawn. This aerates the roots of the grass, which aerates the lawn. The notches make it easier for oxygen, water, and nutrients to reach the grass roots. Since a verticutter also tears up shallow grass roots, the roots begin to grow deeper down and create side shoots. The lawn becomes more durable, and the moss becomes weaker.

Dethatcher – clears away the suffocating moss

If your lawn already has a lot of moss, you may need to use a dethatcher. A dethatcher, unlike a verticutter, is equipped with hooks that grab the moss and tear it out of the lawn.
